Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 22, 2026
1. Introduction
Welcome to FantasyEdge (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you visit and interact with our Site.
Our core principle is to respect your privacy. You can use every tool on the Site without an account. If you choose to sign in, connect a fantasy league or write to us, we collect only what is needed to do that. We also measure, in aggregate, how the Site is used, so we can tell which tools are worth improving. We sell nothing to advertisers.
2. Information We Collect
- Account details from signing in with Google, or in the mobile app with Google or Apple: your user id, email address, display name and profile photo, and the days you open the site or app while signed in, with the time of the last one. With Sign in with Apple you can hide your email, in which case we receive the relay address Apple creates for you. Authentication is handled by Firebase Authentication; we never see or store your Google or Apple password.
- Fantasy league data you choose to connect: your leagues, their scoring settings, the teams in them and their rosters.
- Access and refresh tokens for the fantasy platform you connect, so we can keep your league in sync. These are encrypted before they are stored.
- For a private ESPN league, the two ESPN login values you paste in (espn_s2 and SWID). Together they work like a key to your ESPN account, so they are encrypted before they are stored, used only to read your leagues, and saved only once they have opened one.
- Share counts, on the website only: when you use a Share button, or open a page from a link someone shared, our server adds one to a daily count of that page and how it was shared (copied, WhatsApp, X and so on). Nothing about you is kept with it, and it follows the same cookie choice as the analytics below.
- Messages you send through the Contact page: the name, email address and message you enter, and - if you are signed in - your account id.
- Usage analytics, on the website only (the mobile app sends none): the pages you visit, the controls you click, and technical details such as your browser, device type and approximate location derived from your IP address. These are collected by Google Analytics and PostHog, which set their own cookies to recognise a returning browser. Google Analytics is not linked to your account. While you are signed in, PostHog is given your account id - never your email address or name - so it can tell that visits from this browser are one person; we match that id to your account only on our own server, to see how signed-in visitors use the site. Signing out starts a new anonymous visitor. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland neither is loaded until you accept in the cookie banner; everywhere, you can turn them off under "Cookie settings" at the foot of every page.
3. Information We Do Not Collect
We do not collect, store, or process any of the following:
- Cookies for advertising purposes.
- Your Google or Apple password, or your fantasy platform password.
- Payment details - the Site is free to use.
Like any website, our servers and network provider see your IP address when you connect. It is used for security and to prevent abuse, and is not linked to your account. Preferences such as your language, your selected league, your accessibility settings and your answer to the cookie banner are stored in your own browser.
4. How We Use It
Your league data is used to personalise the tools for you - ranking players by your league’s categories and preloading your roster. It is visible only to you, never to other users of the Site. Contact messages are used only to reply to you. Usage analytics are used only to understand and improve the Site. We do not sell any of it, and we do not share it with advertisers.
5. Third-Party Services
The Site relies on a small number of third-party services. Each receives only what it needs to do its job, and each has its own privacy policy, which we encourage you to review:
Google Firebase
Handles sign-in with your Google account, and in the mobile app with your Apple account.
Yahoo
Provides the fantasy league data you explicitly connect, under Yahoo’s own terms. Our access is read-only: we never change anything in your Yahoo account or league, and we read from Yahoo only when you connect a league or ask for it to be refreshed. You can revoke our access from your Yahoo account at any time.
ESPN
Provides the fantasy league data you explicitly connect. Our access is read-only: we never change anything in your ESPN account or league, and we read from ESPN only when you connect a league or ask for it to be refreshed. You can delete your saved ESPN login from the ESPN connect page at any time, and signing out of ESPN makes it stop working.
Sleeper
Provides the fantasy league data you explicitly connect, read from its public API by the Sleeper username you enter. No Sleeper password or login is involved, and nothing about your Sleeper account is stored beyond the connected league itself.
Fantrax
Provides the fantasy league data you explicitly connect, read from its public league API by the league address you enter. No Fantrax password or login is involved.
Cloudflare
Delivers all traffic to the Site and may process technical data, such as your IP address, to do so.
Google Analytics
Measures how visitors use the Site, using cookies. You can turn it off under "Cookie settings" at the foot of every page, or in every site at once with Google’s browser add-on: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout
PostHog
Records page views, clicks, aggregate heatmaps and session replays so we can see how the tools are used, and, while you are signed in, your account id (not your email or name). Everything typed into a form is masked in replays and never recorded. "Cookie settings" at the foot of every page turns it off too.
Telegram
Messages sent through the Contact page are delivered to our team over Telegram.
6. Data Security
All traffic to the Site is encrypted in transit. Fantasy platform tokens are encrypted at rest, and access to our database is limited to the server that runs the Site. No system is perfectly secure, but we collect as little as we can so that there is as little as possible to protect.
7. Disconnecting and Deletion
You can disconnect a fantasy platform at any time, which deletes the stored tokens for it - for ESPN, "Forget ESPN login" deletes the saved login values. You can remove any connected league, which deletes that league’s teams and rosters from our database. You can delete your account and everything associated with it yourself, from the foot of My leagues on the Site or in the mobile app, or contact us and we will remove it. Deleting an account that signed in with Apple also revokes the app’s access to that Apple account.
8. Your Choices and Rights
You can refuse or switch off usage analytics under "Cookie settings" at the foot of every page, and the Site works the same without them. You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for a copy of it, or ask us to correct or delete it, by writing to us at the address below. Depending on where you live, the law may give you further rights over your personal information, including the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
9. Children’s Privacy
This Site is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us so we can address the situation.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
11. Contact Us
If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy, please contact us through our Contact page or at [email protected].
